| + всё понравилось. правда останавливаться в нем на день не больше, делать нечего, сходить некуда, кроме близлежащей фермы с овечками и лошадками. сам отель отличный и хозяин тоже. даже компьютером дали попользоваться. и на завтрак была колбаса, больше её нигде не было.

| + My husband & I have just spent 1 night at this beautiful and very cosy chateau. Wonderful welcome. Great breakfast. Very quiet location. We could spent beautiful and relaxed time there in a rich natural environment. Highly recommend it to travelers visiting Normandy to get a good taste of the regions architecture and its peoples hospitality.

| + The first emotion when we arrived was 'Such an excellent place'. During our stay this feeling was established. My friend and I had a voyage in Normandie in May 2013. The plan and route were predefined in advance. After we spent one night there, we decided to change our plan and extend our stay in this cozy hotel. The spirit of old chateau full of antique furniture and original decoration is accomponied with modern communication system. The rooms are nice and spacy. Wonderful choice of local production food for candle lit breakfast. The owners are extremely friendly. Just a small note. The hotel is located outside the village. The last known by GPS house is no. 2. After passing by house no. 2, continue the way, in around 700 m, the sign-post can be found.

| + We enjoyed the quiet surroundings, welcoming owner, lovely poolside relaxation, birds and Oscar, the yellow lab! It is a 'work in progress' which was fun to see what the owners have accomplished and to hear about their plans for the future! The room was perfect! There was every attention to detail regarding our comfort. Heating, fresh air, etc. We stayed two nights and could have stayed longer.

Out of the way gem
| Chateau de Launay is welcoming and friendly. The owners go out of their way to assist guests by making dinner reservations and offering local information. Do not be concerned when your GPS says the address can not be found. The address is 5 Rue Ecoles; the GPS will only accept 2. Just follow the road until you see the sign for the Chateau. Breakfast is marvelous.

| + This is more of a grand old country house than a château, but that is to take nothing away from it. The facilities are very good and it lives up to its pictures. The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful. They were most forthcoming with advice on local attractions and how best to view them. They booked local restaurants for us each evening. All were different; all were excellent. At our departure we received a warm send off. It was like saying farewell to friends. A great find. Definitely recommend.

| + Zeer vriendelijke gastheer - Uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt - Mooie locatie en heerlijk rustig - Mooi zwembad (geen gebruik van gemaakt ivm temperatuur maar locatie en faciliteiten - Zeer centraal in normandie (uitvalbasis voor d-day stranden, point de normandy en daarboven maar ook le mont sint michel) en alles te bereiken met anderhalf uur rijden -Bedden vonden wij heerlijk slapen (erg belangrijk op een rust vakantie)
| | - Kamers zijn erg luidruchtig (door ouderdom huis) - Op site staat vermeld 'open haart in elke kamer' maar deze kunnen niet aan (waarom dan vermelden op website?) dit was tegenvaller - Restaurants op minimaal een kwartier rijden en dan is keuze nog zeer beperkt. Hou hier wel rekening mee bij boeken want is geen mogelijkheid tot avondeten bij locatie zelf Niet echt minpunt maar wij vinden het zelf altijd wel prettig om een koelkastje te hebben op de kamer. Omdat er weinig in de omgeving is wil je graag een lekker kaasje of iets anders gekoeld hebben. (cidre bv :)) |

Lovely B&B in the countryside
| We stayed in the Chateau de Launay for 2 nights during Easter time. From the moment we arrived at the place, we were very impressed. The place is based in a beautiful rural quiet location yet still close enough to all attractions and lovely towns such as Cambremer. We felt very welcome by Mark & Vallerie (and their puppy), who did everything to make us feel comfortable. They were always there when we needed to ask anything and gave us plenty of tips to plan our days.

A little gem of a B & B hidden nicely away in a tiny chateau
| You can be sure of a very warm & friendly reception at this special small, exclusive b & b located in a chateau which we understood to have probably been an old hunting lodge. The rooms were well appointed and we particularly liked the mods cons in the the modern, nicely tiled bathrooms. On the evening of our arrival we were made to feel really at home by the host and got some great recommendations to eat, there being nothing on the premises of course. Parking was not an issue at all. As we were the only guests we enjoyed an exclusive, candle lit breakfast and our host was able to share further tips on visiting a Calvados making facility in the vicinity. Our youngest member of the party was relieved to have wlan for that essential internet access required both most kids under the age of 80 nowadays. He made up for the lack of desk in the room by putting his lap top to its rightful use - on his lap. Certainly a great place & thoroughly recommended, particularly now that the owners have added a signpost to help find the place :-)

Perfect B&B
| We had a perfect stay at this B&B while exploring Normandy for a week! It has been a pleasure to be heading back to this wonderful place which is nicely situated in the French countryside. Each morning a great breakfast from our excellent host Mark. We can highly recommend Chateau de Launay and we would love to revisit this place at some point in time

| | Well, like many visitors, the complete lack of signposting to the Chateau makes for some stress after a hard days driving or sightseeing. We found the place purely by accident as dusk in the pouring rain. Two people we asked in the neighbouring village had never heard of the Chateau which didn't help with the stress of having a navigation system that simply gave up on us. We assume that this will help preserve the exclusiveness of this delightful retreat. |

Manor house in the fields
| In the middle of the fields of the rich Normandy, just near the beautiful 'pays d'Auge' with its wellkwnown stud farms and a so natural landscape, not very far of the highway, this little castle is offering many advantages : location, perfect tranquillity, authenticity of a XIXth century renovated mansion. With our friends, we reserved the two available rooms, (a third should be ready next year), very confortable ones, simply decorated, equiped with a modern bathroom. The owners, a Hollander and his french wife, are very kind and helpful. The breakfast was served in a nice room downstairs with a fire, red fresh roses on the table... With tea, coffee from the expresso machine, homemade marmelades, ham and cheese, baguette and croissants, the breakfast was good and solid. Well, a nice and pleasant stay. At last, the swiming pool, beyond the house, is available in summer.
