A little gem of a B & B hidden nicely away in a tiny chateau
| You can be sure of a very warm & friendly reception at this special small, exclusive b & b located in a chateau which we understood to have probably been an old hunting lodge. The rooms were well appointed and we particularly liked the mods cons in the the modern, nicely tiled bathrooms. On the evening of our arrival we were made to feel really at home by the host and got some great recommendations to eat, there being nothing on the premises of course. Parking was not an issue at all. As we were the only guests we enjoyed an exclusive, candle lit breakfast and our host was able to share further tips on visiting a Calvados making facility in the vicinity. Our youngest member of the party was relieved to have wlan for that essential internet access required both most kids under the age of 80 nowadays. He made up for the lack of desk in the room by putting his lap top to its rightful use - on his lap. Certainly a great place & thoroughly recommended, particularly now that the owners have added a signpost to help find the place :-)

Perfect B&B
| We had a perfect stay at this B&B while exploring Normandy for a week! It has been a pleasure to be heading back to this wonderful place which is nicely situated in the French countryside. Each morning a great breakfast from our excellent host Mark. We can highly recommend Chateau de Launay and we would love to revisit this place at some point in time

| | Well, like many visitors, the complete lack of signposting to the Chateau makes for some stress after a hard days driving or sightseeing. We found the place purely by accident as dusk in the pouring rain. Two people we asked in the neighbouring village had never heard of the Chateau which didn't help with the stress of having a navigation system that simply gave up on us. We assume that this will help preserve the exclusiveness of this delightful retreat. |

Manor house in the fields
| In the middle of the fields of the rich Normandy, just near the beautiful 'pays d'Auge' with its wellkwnown stud farms and a so natural landscape, not very far of the highway, this little castle is offering many advantages : location, perfect tranquillity, authenticity of a XIXth century renovated mansion. With our friends, we reserved the two available rooms, (a third should be ready next year), very confortable ones, simply decorated, equiped with a modern bathroom. The owners, a Hollander and his french wife, are very kind and helpful. The breakfast was served in a nice room downstairs with a fire, red fresh roses on the table... With tea, coffee from the expresso machine, homemade marmelades, ham and cheese, baguette and croissants, the breakfast was good and solid. Well, a nice and pleasant stay. At last, the swiming pool, beyond the house, is available in summer.

| מרק , בעל השאטו הוא הולנדי הדובר אנגלית רהוטה. הוא ידידותי מאוד, וכף לשוחח עמו. ארוחת הבוקר שהוא מכין, מצויינת. גם רעיתו מקסימה. השאטו המשופץ יפיפה. הריהוט מקסים וחדר הרחצה גדול ומודרני. מומלץ ביותר!

| Wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Mark was a wonderful host, helping us to find the place, welcoming us, providing some intersting local history and serving a scuptious breakfast. The home and grounds are spectacular and a perfect backdrop for wonderful photographs.

Fantastic stay
| I travelled with my husband and we stayed here as a base to go around Cambremer and do some cider tasting in the area. Its located about 10 minutes from the town centre. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully renovated. Mark was a very helpful host, and happy to give us info on places to eat and visit in the area. Breakfast was great - lots of variety and fresh home cooked food. I would definitely recommend Chateau de Launay, I only wish I had stayed here longer.

Bon souvenir
| Une escapade courte mais tr?s agr?able dans un bel endroit. Cach? dans la compagne, il faut chercher un peu pour trouver ce beau manoir. Accueil chaleureux, chambre parfaite et un petit dej royal ont permis de passer un s?jour calme et et ressour?ant. La meteo n ?tant pas de la partie, nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter de la piscine.

| It was really a pleasure to stay in this place. The owner of this place is a very nice and wam person. At the end it was truly very sad to leave.. Hope we will come back :) Also the location is very good for exploring the Normandy and its gastronomy.

| + Vanaf het moment van aankomst tot het moment van vertrek voel je je gast. Het Chateau ligt buiten het dorp zodat je geniet van de rust. De kamers zijn zeer sfeervol ingericht en de badkamer is keurig en ondanks zijn moderne inrichting sluit deze aan bij de sfeer van de kamer en chateau. Het ontbijt is niet overdadig maar meer dan voldoende, desgewenst maakt de gastheer een heerlijk eitje voor je klaar. Wij verblijven veel in 'gewone' hotels welke zondermeer goed zijn echter dit was voor ons een verademing. Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad en denken met een glimlach terug aan ons verblijf.

| + Een heerlijke gastvrije omgeving. Heerlijke douche. Heerlijk bed waar je eerst wat aanmoet wennen als je hard slapen niet bent gewend. Een goed uigebreid ontbijt met zelfgemaakte jam en een smakelijk gebakken eitje met kersttmaatjes uit eigen tuin. Wat ik heerlijk vond en wat echt het vakantie gevoel gaf was de rust waarin alles ging bij het ontbijtje stond prachtige muziek van Chopin op. We raden iedereeeen deze plek aan die ook eens de D-day stranden wil bezoeken of een bezoek wol brengen aan de Heilige Theresia in Lisieux (20 km).

| + Tout d'abord, l'accueil est excellent. L'attention des gérants vous est pleinement consacrée (je crois qu'il n'y a que 2 chambres). Ils sont par ailleurs, sympathiques, chaleureux et très intéressants. Les chambres sont impeccablement décorées et agencées, parfaitement en accord avec le style de la maison. Le lit et la salle de bain sont parfaits, l'équipement équivalent à un hôtel de luxe. Pour ne rien gâcher, l'environnement (entre champs et forêt) est très propice au repos. Enfin, le petit-déjeuner était splendide: salade de fruit faite maison, confitures locales, expresso serré sur-mesure, pain frais, oeuf sur-commande... Pour le prix d'une chambre standard dans un hôtel de centre d'affaires, nous avons passé qqes heures dans un luxe et un charme qui nous ont comblés.
