Great hosts, nothing was too much effort. Relaxing and pleasant stay in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Pool was a nice bonus. Good base for exploring Normandy. Would go definitely go back.

| Chateau de Launay is located on a country estate outside the town of Mery Corbon. Owner Mark and his friendly dog Oscar welcomed us and helped with luggage which was very appreciated.
The room was on the first floor overlooking the front garden. It was of an adequate size with a modern ensuite and a very large shower. Mark provides a very substantial breakfast and, after instruction on how to cook poached eggs, produced perfect eggs. You have to travel for evening meals evening meals - Beuvron en Auge has 2 restaurants (15 min away) and restaurant 'Au Fil des Saisons' is only 5 minutes drive. The Normandy beaches are about 50 kms and well worth a day visit.

Rundum gelungener Aufenthalt

| In mei 2015 in dit knusse Chateau gelogeerd in kamer Aubergine. Prima kamer en vriendelijke gastheer Mark Janssen. Ook de restaurant adviezen zijn zeer goed.
Een goed ontbijt iedere morgen met heerlijk bruin brood met kaas. Dus niet alleen stokbrood en jam zoals gebruikelijk in Frankrijk. Daar we met twee stellen waren konden we 's avonds heerlijk in de gezellige ontbijtzaal zitten. Doordat de kamers hoog zijn is het wel flink trappen lopen naar de kamers.
De hal is vrij gehorig, maar het verblijf is aan te bevelen.

| Wij hebben tijdens het Hemelvaart weekend gebruik gemaakt van de prachtige Chambre Aubergine. Wij hebben genoten van het heerlijke ontbijt, genoeg keuze aan brood, vleeswaren, kazen, zoetigheden en drinken. De eigenaar weet heel veel van de omgeving en heeft ons verwezen naar karakteristieke restaurantjes in de buurt, zelfs een reservering voor je maken is hem niet te veel. Overigens raden wij je aan hier van gebruik te maken, het deed ons doen verbazen hoe druk er het kan zijn. TOP verblijf!

| We stayed there for three nights and really enjoyed the hospitality of Mark, the owner. My little daughter fell in love with Oscar, the charming Labrador of the chateau. Mark seems to know everything about the region - the history, the culture, the food, the drinks, etc. – and was very helpful in every aspect. Rooms are clean and nice though not too large, especially those on the third floor. Breakfast is well above the average, rich and tasty. WiFi is fast and reliable. One may have some minor issues with the property (the facade and the stairs seem to need some refreshment) but I strongly recommend the Chateau de Launay because all important things are great there. Regards to Mark and Oscar.

Great accomodation in the French countryside!
| Our stay at Mark's Chateau de Launay was excellent. My wife and I originally had some difficulty finding the B&B as we had arrived in the general area after the sun had set. The B&B is not clearly posted on the road signs until you are almost right there. The chateau dates back to the mid-nineteenth century and reflects a by-gone period in history. The residence is located in a rural area where one is assured of a peaceful night's rest. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Mark (the proprietor) offered a variety of breakfast menu items-cheeses, cold cuts, breads, etc.-that were more than substantial for our daily excursions. My wife and I (along with another companion) used our stop here to explore the Normandy Coast, as well as all the other landmarks in the region during a three day stay at the Chateau. In all, I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone contemplating a visit to Caen. While the B&B is located outside of the city limits of Caen, it is well worth the 'extra' effort to drive through the countryside to seek out this wonderful lodging. Mark's friendly Labrador retriever-Oscar- added to our enjoyable stay here.

A Normandy Nicety
| + The Chateau was very charming with a wonderful host and a delightful dog named Oscar.. The shower en suite was perfect for a tall husband.. The food at breakfast was just wonderful with a specially made scrambled egg.. Our hospitable host even did our laundry for us at no cost..

Great B&B
| My wife and I stayed here for just one night during our stay in the Normandy region, but really wish we had stayed longer. Mark and Valerie were very welcoming and saw to our every need. Oscar the yellow lab was a friendly addition as well. Would highly recommend this gem - especially if interested in the Cidre Route as it is very close.
We stayed in the Azure room and really enjoyed it. Bathroom seemed to have been just remodeled. It's on the top floor so not recommended for those that have difficulties with stairs

| + Extremely nice country house in a quiet location. Excellent breakfast!We stayed for one night in October so the swimming pool was closed. That was a pity. All other things (room, facilities, atmosphere, surroundings, etc.) were just lovely. And yes, there was a dog and no lift. But we did not mind.
